   Home / Locations / Roads

A trip across the huge country of South Africa is a meander along roads that never end: a journey through enchanting and diverse dreamscapes.

Whether it's a tarred freeway or a stony mountain pass that you need, it's all here:

· Picturesque roads and railways link the towns and cities
· Mountain passes wind through spectacular scenery
· Tarred tracks pass lead over the semi-arid Karoo plains
· Atmospheric roads sweep along the empty coastline
· Country roads become winding mountain passes or
   simply vanish on the horizon

Cape Nature Conservation
We host some of the most spectacular nature areas in the Western Cape. In addition we have many tarred roads that lead up to mountain peaks traversing scenic and isolated natural areas. Some mountain passes such as the Franschhoek Pass and the spectacular Swartberg Pass also cross conservation areas. Filming in these areas require our permission and guidance by an ecological control officer.
